Powder Coating Adventures
April 21, 2016
My kitchen cabinets have no hardware and I have a bunch of cheap brass and aluminum pulls from ReStore. They looked fine in the package in the store but once home, it turns out they were slightly different colors and finishes. Rather than return or resell them since I got 22 pulls for about $10, I stripped them down with a wire brush.
This is the point where I learned exactly what they were. I had some suspicions they were not all brass or steel but I didn’t expect aluminum. This isn’t a bit problem since I will powder coat all of them in matte black.
Once I figure out a good way to hang several of these in the oven at once, I’ll get them all sprayed and baked.
